With amazing grapes

come incredible wines. Small production, handcrafted excellence flows from our winery that sits in the heart of Sta. Rita Hills appellation in northern Santa Barbara County.

The Cassara family and staff are dedicated to continue to bring you superior Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc as well as a few distinct "Winemaker Reserve" barrel select wines. Pinot Noir is our specialty and our flagship Estate Grown Pinot Noir is shining brighter every year as our vineyard matures upon our mountain top at 880 feet altitude. Hence the naming of our "Altitude Wine Club" and the "From the Mountaintop" newsletter.. We have the great fortune of obtaining grapes from many Santa Rita Hills vineyards with a few select county vineyards included. This gives us the great opportunity to produce several different Pinot Noirs of distinction.

Check out our great "Altitude Wine Club"

page and call us to join up! Our Wines can be found at many Central Coast locations which can be view on our "availability list". Soon you will be able to order wine from us online but for now please call us. We can ship to most US states, yet some are restricted.

Watercolors by Diane Avalle-Arce

My age?  No way.  I don't admit to being born in NJ, either.  I've painted all my life -- sold some -- gave away many more -- studied with wonderful people and not done them much credit -- did large oils when I was young and foolish, flirted with Surrealism -- gave it up for many years and wrote fiction and non-fiction -- sneaked back into painting with botanical illustration -- have been doing plein air watercolors  for the last few years, in Maui, the Hebrides, the Grand Canyon, the Rocky Mountains -- the Central Coast, and particularly the Santa Ynez Valley, is the best.

"My art is a reflection of my emotions. My work is a window into my soul. I start a painting with a general concept in mind, always leaving the possibilities of change available as to let the work evolve. I guide the painting as it guides me. I see it as a growing entity and stop it only once it reaches maturity. Form, movement and space are the important elements in my work. My sculptural works employ the same traits with the addition of symbolism and or metaphor. For myself high sculpture says more than it's esthetic beauty. Be it serious or a sense of humor, my goal is to create sculpture and painting that has a conversation with the viewer."

G.R. Stroup Guy Rocky Stroup was born in Lindsey, California in 1952. He pursued art as a career early in life. First as a sign maker in the 70's designing and sculpting hand carved redwood signs with airbrush illustrations. In the 80's after attending Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, he worded as a prop builder and sculptor for the film industry and also as a freelance illustrator. Since that time Stroup has focused his energies on "Fine Art by Stroup" "Fine art was always the goal, it just took me thirty years to get there" - Stroup Stroup shows his abstract paintings and wall sculpture in Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego as well as here on the Central Coast.
